The Lost Identity?

When my young maid lost her  estranged husband, I wondered how she'd react to the situation. Her first thought was how she's going to appear before us leaving all her fineries, which she is too fond of. The question that loomed large in my head was why does she have to bear the symbols of widowhood for a man who had never been there for her in life.....I dreaded to face this what's in store for a woman in a world taking pride for all kinds of achievements and developments? The artworld lost another of its eminent personality....MARIO MIRANDA, the great cartoonist. As a child I almost believed that Khushwant Singh indeed resided in a bulb...courtesy Mario Miranda. I could identify his cartoons even before I could recognise my own signature. Loved his Ms. Nimboopani or his voluptuous secretary always zapping her male bosses with her one-liners. May your soul rest in peace the great Bachi Karkaria said..."keep the angels smiling".

Dhumravarna Ganesha
