Paper Peacock

Made this peacock out of mountboard, marble paper anf foil paper for Ganapati decoration. The idea came up spontaneously. May be this is my way of worshipping the 'Bappa'....

Dieter's Delight...:)

The other day I asked my kiddos to draw and paint pears and found that even my pears were not looking healthy enough...so I started with this...a quick one in a rough handmade paper...hope I could bring in the luscious look.....:)

Gardener...

Our tireless gardener fascinated my parents more than he did to me at first. Then I noticed his everyday blue shirt and a cap with an oversized shade and the black three-fourth...pink plastic sandals to add to these. The wrinkles on his face and creases of his shirt hardly matched the sturdiness of his hands though....Our fondly called 'Malimama' was not a bad start for a life study and that to a difficult one  and I thought of giving it a go.

While reading Pamuk's Istanbul..I was browsing through the photographs inside and I came across this...a beautiful misty background of blue mosque in mist with Bosphorus on foreground...and I thought of quickly making this pencil sketch.....
