Expressions (through eyes)

Kathakali is an interesting Indian Classical dance form in which mythological stories are enacted in the form of Dance drama. What attracts me are the costumes and the facial expressions...especially the eyes which tell all the story without much hand gesture or movements.

Hastamudra (expressions through hand gestures)

Bharatanatyam or any orher Indian classical danceforms use hastamudras or handgestures to depict various forms in nature and are always complicated ywt fascinating. Here, I tried four such gestures,  tripataka, pushpa, shukatundam, fully bloomed flower.

Paper Lantern

Deepawali brings home the colors and lights of the season and everyone around seems to be in a shopping spree for clothes, colors and lamps which brightens up everyones mood. I too jump into the bandwagon and search for the most attractive of all the paper lampshades found in the market. This year I thought to give it a try myself and after much effort and spoiling of papers, I came up with this...simple, bright and probably beautiful one.
