My street under lockdown....

My otherwise bustling and busy street looks deserted and haunting now. This lockdown had taken all the fervor from it as it has taken away the hustle-bustle from our life. Is raat ki subah kab ayegi??????

A dream come true..

They say music  is the greatest healer....and in these difficult times, it  really helped me to make my dream come true.... A canvas that I started months ago was completed today amidst lockdown but smoothly as I listened to beautiful flute, sitar and vocals......this is my tribute to all those unknown but  great artists of Ajanta caves.

Inspired from the Dancing girl of Ajanta..

By the sea shore

Janta curfew, a coinage I heard after years but this time, it's for the benefit of our own ...staying home quarantined from the rest of the world...they say staying home never gets onto your nerves if you are creative....solace, in the time of disaster....

Har Har Mahadev..

Some requests keep ringing in your mind and you tend to loose your sleep. This is what happened when my friend's son started nagging me for a Shiva painting. It was nagging in real sense...wherever we meet  he will be just after me...gradually, I could sense that I cannot just avoid his request, else it will be a sacrilege on my part. The boy will lose trust forever which I didn't want at all....I decided to work on this instead...I wanted to see his happy face.

Nagging boy..

Jalkandeshwar temple in Vellore has a beautiful mural showing a little boy, probably Lord Krishna nagging his mother while she looks annoyed. I was fascinated by how a mother's vulnerability is shown in a moment's gesture.
